Project Description:

Thundermist recently completed a two-phased, 50,000 s.f. renovation project at their Woonsocket Health Center. Extensive renovations to the first floor involved converting former state agency office space into 38 exam rooms along with staff support spaces for Family Medicine, Specialty Services and Women, Infant & Children Services Departments. The first floor also contains a Phlebotomy Lab, a Pharmacy, and the main reception and waiting areas. The second floor renovations involved modifications to accommodate 50 exam rooms for Pediatrics, Adult Medicine and Women’s Health Departments. The project doubled patient care space, increased capacity and implemented modern design features to improve the patience experience. Thundermist’s Woonsocket Health Center cares for more than 20,000 patients each year and employs nearly 300 people.
