Project Description:

Vision 3 Architects worked with Johnson & Wales University Providence, one of the world’s leading educators of culinary arts on a new 3,700 s.f. culinary academic and lab space. The project involved the renovation and adaptive re-use of 2,150 s.f. book storage space and 1,550 s.f. open space within an existing culinary museum. The new space now includes conceptualization, tasting, marketing, ideation areas, and food science and culinary lab kitchens. Extensive modifications were made to the existing fire protection systems to accommodate the new culinary use, new electrical and plumbing systems to support the kitchen lab equipment, new lighting, updating the HVAC system to support the heating and cooling requirements, and a new kitchen exhaust and make-up air systems. Additionally, new windows were installed to allow for natural light to filter into this vibrant space, and new modern interior finishes throughout.
