Project Description:

Vision 3 was challenged to design garden mausoleum crypt space for the cemetery’s immediate needs while unifying the cemetery’s existing three mausoleum buildings. The solution was to design signature mausoleum buildings at each end of the existing buildings and connect the whole with raised planting beds, areas for reflection, and a colonnade of cherry trees. Each mausoleum contains 180 crypts and is organized about a barrel-vaulted promenade which leads to the contemplation gardens. The promenade ends at a seating area covered with a wood arbor and flanked by columbariums. Colonnades with benches at the front and rear of the buildings offer areas to sit and reflect.

Testimonials:

“Vision 3 captured our vision of creating a timeless experience at the cemetery. They designed two new garden mausoleums that are beautiful. Vision 3 was able to capture a peacefulness with the buildings and courtyards. Working with Vision 3 is great. Their project leaders are hands on and their technical execution is seamless. They were never difficult to get a hold of and in many cases they went above and beyond their scope to ensure a successful project.”

Arthur Lurgio, Associate Director, Catholic Cemetery Office Diocese of Providence

“Vision 3 listened. We knew what we were looking for and Vision 3 delivered. Their project leaders were professional, knowledgeable and accessible. If I had a question, they always returned a call within an hour. If we wanted to make a change, they would adjust the design and get right back to us. They were on top of any problems and gave us expert recommendations. I am very satisfied with Vision 3, I would work with them again by all means.”

Rev. Anthony Verdelotti, Catholic Cemetery Office Diocese of Providence
