Project Description:

The project consisted of a new building addition and renovation to expand the Newport County YMCA’s early learning program from roughly 40 children to over 90 children. The new addition is approximately 5,300 square feet and includes two new infant classrooms, two new preschool classrooms, two new toddler classrooms, and associated restrooms and support spaces.  The existing building renovation area was approximately 3,000 square feet and included expanding an existing preschool classroom, renovating an existing indoor play space, and renovating existing children’s restrooms and administrative support spaces.  The project also included an evaluation of the existing playground and recommendations for new safety barriers to improve its safety and security.
