Project Description:

Vision 3 Architects designed a new central office and fleet maintenance facility for Kent County Water Authority (KCWA) to replace their previous headquarters building located in West Warwick. The new facility combines a conventionally constructed administrative office building with a pre-engineered metal garage building, creating distinct zones for public access, office staff, and road crews.

Natural light fills the building through clerestory windows, while a research area with high ceilings and touchscreen displays fosters collaboration. The public lobby highlights KCWA’s long history with a custom waterfall and museum-style displays. A heated garage ensures year-round fleet maintenance.

Sustainability was key, with energy-efficient VRF mechanical systems and solar PV arrays that generate more electricity than the facility consumes. Designed for long-term growth, the new headquarters enhances KCWA’s operations while creating a welcoming space for both employees and customers.
