Project Description:

Located in the historic American Locomotive Company building in Providence, RI, Vision 3’s new office reimagines an industrial landmark as a contemporary studio rooted in collaboration. The design preserves and highlights the building’s original materials—exposed brick, riveted plate steel columns, and worn concrete floors—allowing their rich texture to shape the character of the space. New design elements are intentionally simple and clean, creating a quiet modern contrast to the former factory’s historic fabric. Workstations are organized around open collaboration zones, huddle spaces, and a central gathering space for meals and presentations, fostering an environment of teamwork and creativity. At the heart of the office, the material library—named in memory of our cherished colleague Brittani Fleury—embodies this spirit. It functions as both an essential workspace and a meaningful tribute, reflecting the creativity and passion she brought to our practice and continuing to inspire the work we do together every day.
