Project Description:

In order for Thundermist Health Center to be eligible for a large federal grant, their new 20,000 s.f. facility needed to be constructed on the same property occupied by an existing building they wished to replace. The 20,000 s.f. health center greatly expands Thundermist’s ability to serve their patients. The facility includes 17 exam rooms, 10 dental treatment rooms, 4 behavioral health counseling rooms, WIC clinic, a community center room, administrative offices, and a 10,000 s.f. lower level parking garage. The challenge was to keep the existing building in operation while its replacement was constructed. This was achieved by building the new facility in the existing parking lot, utilizing temporary valet parking.
