Rhode Island College: Buildings 4, 5 and 10
“Making magic out of junk comes to mind when I think of Vision 3 Architects.”
– Dr. Orestes P. Monterecy, PhD, Former Director of Capital Projects, Rhode Island College
The campus master plan identified a future zone of growth that anticipated the College’s eventual assimilation of ten state-owned DCYF residential cottage buildings. Buildings 4, 5 and 10 were targeted as the first to be transformed by Vision 3 as anchor buildings for the new East Campus development. These award-winning designs create a unique visual identity for the East Campus. Many administrative and student services functions were relocated from core campus buildings, thereby freeing up new academic space. The adaptive reuse program continues with Building 3 recently completed, and Building 2 ready to go into development.
